Milaan was established as a social development organisation by a group of four youth with different academic backgrounds, committed to work for the cause of youth and children in July 2006. A number of the beneficiaries of the projects are self-reliant and earning a living to support their family, while some are faring well in academics.

Milaan, very well endorses to its name, which means “union” and this is what its operating model is all about. It includes teaming up with NGOs and work out constructive steps towards rural development. These include putting up educational institutes for children with all the necessary support. In addition, there are various skill development programs in retail and hospitality for youth. They have sorted some areas and arranged education for the underprivileged at convenient places.

They have initiated an informal school offering education and healthcare services in a remote village of Uttar Pradesh, which has proved to be quite successful. The beneficiary children have tied up their laces for the new academic session and many children are ready to join the queue.
Apart from this, there are some skill development and training programs, which have helped many to find employment and thus improved their lives.
